Since I have a visual impairment, I always had to struggle to be what I am today. I spent most of my time convincing that although I have a disability I have abilities that could contribute towards the society. Unfortunately, I always had to prove myself before given the chance and opportunity. The society's negative perceptions and the lack of knowledge about disabled people was the biggest problem I had to overcome and which took years before I managed to break down this barrier.
